..After viewing "Paradise Now," at the New York Film Festival, Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Borough Park) called the Warner Independent Pictures movie a "humanizing" of "arch-terrorists," and quotes director Hany Abu-Assad as refusing to condemn terrorism.
The movie focuses on the last days of two Palestinian childhood friends in the West Bank city of Nablus who are recruited for a strike on Tel Aviv.
"It's a classic buddy film - if you can ignore the fact that these two guys strap on suicide belts," Hikind said.
"We lived through Sept. 11," the legislator added. "Why in God's name would a company like Warner put its label behind this movie?"...
