Lakewood cop cleared on scuffle with rabbi
Authorities have cleared the Lakewood cop (Menk) involved in the scuffle arrest of the Rosh Yeshiva of Mesifta of Lakewood, Rabbi Yosef Bursztyn. More details not given. Charges against the Rosh Yeshiva will probably be presented to a grand jury according to law enforcment.
All who know Rabbi Bursztyn know the absurdity of the accusation of him having attacked the police officer. So what realy happened that ended up with Rabbi Bursztyn in the hospital?
The truth must come out and be dealt with.

The truth is simple. Only a complete idiot thinks he can get away with touching a police officer, even in the form of gently laying a hand on his shoulder or the like. That doesn't mean he literally attacked him, but would still be considered interfering in his duties.
Was he treated properly and with professionalism. Did the cop have to jump on a mid-sixties rabbi.
Did the cop have to jump.....? you guys are totally clueless .Put yourself in the cops position ,and dont forget it was night (DARK). Who is checking to see if its a rabbi a priest or a mexican. Bottom line he had no buisiness even touching the cop let alone grabbing his badge. If a cop tells you to back you simply do just that. What he did was abusing his rabbinical power.
He was pushed man handaled along the street than the cop kneed him while he was saying he has a heart condition. He wasn't threatining to warrant such behavior. It's simply a matter of degree (assuming he ever touched the cop).

YOU DON'T MESS WITH A MAN WITH A GUN!
History usually tells something. What about the Bay Head man that the cop set up. What about the black woman the cops assaulted. This is not Nazi Germany.
