Lakewood misuse of tax $

What are they really doing here? with your tax money?

A.P.P. :

The Lakewood Heritage Museum has hired its first museum coordinator...
Vallone's duties will include applying for grants, helping to build a Web site for the year-old museum and trying to move the one-room museum to its own building.
The museum currently uses one room in the Board of Education's Princeton Avenue administration building.
Sheldon Wolpin, the chairman of Lakewood Heritage Commission, which hired Vallone, said the museum needed someone in charge."It's a lot of work running a museum,'' Wolpin said. "You can't depend upon volunteers.''

Why not use people on public assistance to save the tax payer money.

I'm still locating the Boro Park Heritage Museum.

1) The work requires some intelligence. It's not like sweeping up leaves. Not anyone can do it properly.

2) Actually many places have similar museums - a museum doesn't have to be gigantic.

3) Actually there is/was something like that in BP, believe it or not.

Based on the above, I think you shouldn't object to it on principle. However, if the amount of funding given is excessive, that is another story. How much $ is actually involved ?

My hunch tells me this is part of an agenda to use the museum for something else.

Boro Park museum is not using Boro Parkers tax money.

Re your first statement - maybe you are right, I don't know.

Re second one - they did get some govt. funding in BP via a local official.
