lakewood's davening

Over four thousand men and woman sat in pre-designated seats in Beth Medrash Govoha's four buildings on Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur.

There were six! minyanim, including Bais Sholom, Mizrach, Hashkama, Dining Room, Sephardic, and the Main Bais Medrash which quite possibly still hasn't finished davening.

The Yeshiva's four Rosh HaYeshiva and Mashgiach delivered powerful, awe inspiring shmuessen to rapt and earnest attention throughout the yomim neorim.(The internet was- though not by name- spoken, warned, about numerous times.)

During the thirteen plus hours of intense and deeply meaningful Yom Kippur davening, minus a half hour break (which due to inclement weather found most in front of an open sefer), nary a frivolous or foreign word could be heard in midst the masses. Just lots of crying and wailing for forgiveness .

Next year in Yerushalayim.

Funny not even one reference to the internet at my shul.

Though I wasn't there for the Yizkor speech who knows?
