Oh Dear! and Hikind too

Can't we get new fresh faces, please? A candidate not part of the Frum "I'll scratch your back you scratch mine" political machine?!

Daily News:

Former City Councilman Noah Dear wants his old job back - and may get a shot if Councilman Simcha Felder takes a job with the Bloomberg administration.
It was reported last week that Felder (D-Borough Park) is poised to join Team Bloomberg as early as January, which will result in a special election for the 44th District, which covers Borough Park and Midwood.
Dear said he would consider running for the office he held for 19 years - even though Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Midwood) also expressed interest in the seat...

"Noah and Dov always hated each other," said a source who has known both men for years. "It's just a bitter rivalry within the Jewish community."
Political observers already are eagerly anticipating a potential Dear-Hikind match.
"Between Hikind and Dear, look for a bloodbath if there was a special election where they both competed," said political consultant Hank Sheinkopf...

He ( Dear) criticized the limits that led to widespread Council upheaval in 2001.
"You end up having a transient group of elected officials who do not have the power to be an equal partner when it comes to governance within the City of New York," Dear said.

Term limits is the best idea for good government today!
