Reform opposes Alito

I'm shocked. Just shocked. The Reform opposing a conservative traditionalist?
What's next?- them opposing the Iraqi war? christian conservatives?

The Reform movement voted to oppose the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The Union for Reform Judaism debated the merits of Alito’s nomination Sunday at its biennial convention in Houston, questioning his views on reproductive rights and religious liberty.
“Judge Alito’s elevation to the Supreme Court would threaten protection of the most fundamental rights which our movement supports,” the resolution said.
Several participants questioned opposing the nomination before Alito´s confirmation hearings in January, but an amendment to postpone a formal position failed...
