Jeering for Sharon recovery

There was not an empty seat in Lincoln Center at the most satisfying, smashing success, Helfgot concert.

It went from 7:30pm to 10:15.

Rabbis Lau and Shneier spoke.

At the mention of davening for Sharon, embarrassingly, many in the audience jeered.

I assume you were at the concert. It was spectacular. If you were there however, you would also have realized that there were only TWO individuals that screamed out Gush Katif. Everyone else was upset and embarrassed at what happened. While Rabbi Shnier might have been inappropriate, only two people were jeering(one person- left orchestra about row AA, followed by a screaming lunatic from the right orchestra about row F) yelling Gush Katif and other political propoganda. So please don't blame the masses for the sins of two immature individuals.

Glad to hear the other side of the story from the above poster. But, unfortunately, even two jeerers can be a chillul Hashem.

I was also there, and while it was true that only two people heckled, many people cheered for the heckler. On the other hand, whe Schneier admonished the hecklers he got just as many cheers.
For what it's worthy, from where I was sitting, it appeared that the guy chanting "Gush Katif" was a Lubavitcher.
