Letters regarding Slifkin
For all those who continue debating the issue, these gedolim are making it crystal clear:

It was brought to my attention that the fact that my name was not signed on a protest to the Slifkin books, recently published,regarding science and Torah, was being used to infer my acceptance ofthose books and their spirit.
I am obligated to make the opposite abundantly clear. The books are in opposition to our Torah ([k'neged torahseinu hakedoshah]). The imprudent and audacious spirit of throwing off the yoke ([prikas ol])of the [mesorah mesinai] and our sages ([raboseinu hakedoshim]) who are its bearers ([melamdeha?]), denies any excuse for the mistakes therein. A seeker of truth should destance himself from them, as the[din?] requires.
The Torah charges us to realize that our life's mission is to "cleave to him" ([u'ledovko bo]). [Chazal] teach us that to cleave to sages and their students ([chachamim ve'talmideihem]) is the way to achieve that.
The pursuit of the attachment to [chachamim ve'talmideihem], investing a maximum of one's intellectual and spiritual powers to grow in theknowledge of their words and the appreciation, thereof, profoundly isthe path of [v'atem hadveikim bahashem elokeichem chaim kulchemhayom!]

The letter that rav Shmuel Kamenetzky signed seems to be a FORGERY isnt he the one who gave the haskamah to the book?secondly why didn't rav Shmuel write his own letter?also it dosent say GAM ANI MITZTAREF........
If R' Shlomo miller writes any more science he might be banned!
Does any one know what R' Miller plans are about coming to lakewood.

The only thing that's crystal clear about this is that if you put enough pressure on the gedolim, you can anything signed.
why did RSK sign someone else's letter? ?

The only think that is crystal clear is that if you are a persistant fool you don't always end being ignored, or bowed down to.
But you might end with a big following call you "Rabbi" with no reason at all, but every talmid chacham and godol know nothing about hashkafa should be called all sorts of names not referd to with any form of respect (last names only including harav Elyashiv.)
Since when are these silkin followers such machmirim that they are choshed for every daas yochid in the rishonim. Or will they eat chometz botel bishishim there is a daas yochid in tosafos that hold its mevatel?
Even slifkin originaly didn't hold of his books as the right way to understand divrei chazal but it was needed for kiruv.
(apparently his true colors showed when challenged about the validity of the hashkafa in his books)
