Metzitzah B'peh Meeting
There was some kind of an urgent last minute meeting that was called this morning regarding the sacred issue of Metzitzah B'peh. The meeting took place at R' Aharon Schecter Shlita's house (Rosh Yeshivas Chaim Berlin).

its very interested that no doctors names were listed.
no medical professionals and no one who isnt sanctioned by the brooklyn agudah moetzes world.
no ou rabbis, no YU roshei yeshiva, just the gedoylim of the brooklyn world.
if they were interested in full exposure they would have other rabbis from the orthodox community and those knowlegeable in the law and science
What sacred issue ??? Pikuach nefesh is not a sacred issue ? If Rav Chaim Brisker didn't do it because of pikuach nefesh, what are these guys tummeling about (I am talking about Litvaks - Hassidim have their own Torah for their sect) ?
Nobody respects these guys anymore.

first off- this was vehemently argued on other blogs- i want to point out to the one who quoted R Chaim- in EY they disagree that he said that as a halacha, and they claim he only said it as a one time thing!

Not everything that comes out of EY is automatically always correct. Sometimes us golus'niks have the mesora better than EY. The talmud bavli won out over the talmud Yerushalmi.

Let's keep the bashing to a minimum and actually discuss the facts. I, for one, would like to know what was discussed at the meeting and if there is a possibility that MBP will not be protocol in future brit milahs.
Aharon Schechter is a NOBODY. He loves seeing his name along with his smiling-Cartier-framed-face in print.
The Talmud Bavli didn't "win out" over the Talmud Yerushalmi - it was merely later.
